I wanted to quit, but noticed that I already had 12/15 achievements. This is where the fun began!I got the first 2 easy enough, but the third was a real grind (get the biggest ship in the game, costs a LOT of money). I wasn't into forcing myself to grind out enough cash, so I booted up cheatengine, and tried to cheat in some cash. No succes, they somehow added some protection. Fine, I'll start sailing around, see if I get gold faster than I get bored.Then I see it. In the bottom right, 'If you enjoy this game, please buy it'. That's a weird message... I sail away, and get my first encounter: A Man-O-War, the biggest ship in the game, my one goal. Its name? The 'Anti-Piracy Pirates'. The game thinks I pirated the game!Lucky for me, the anti-pirates are beatable, and give me a butt-load of cash. I can skip the grind! So three fights and many reloads later, I have my gold and can cash out, spending my old age with that one last achievement5/10, funny for an hour, then you have 6 uncompleteable quests and experienced every aspect of the game. Except those quests.. This game is awesome but the Galleon is way too op you can destroy any ship in one shot even another Galleon. This game is awesome. The art style alone is great and it is so satisfying to see another ship explode when you take it down. The game is being updated at a nice pace, with a UI overhaul coming soon as I post this review. If you do see this and purchase the game, DON'T FORGET TO FEED THE CREW.. Picked up on Chrono.gg for some coins and a fun little game to pass an afternoon.You spend your time sailing between islands either on delivery jobs or there are some quests you can pick up. Along the way there are random battles with pirates, I never quite got the hang of the boarding mini-game so set it to auto battle for that otherwise spent time blowing up ships.You can also take over Islands and develop them by purchasing additional buildings / recruiting citizens.Three minor gripes with the game as it stands:1. The random nature of certain quest ships spawning, I've done a trip between two islands what feels like 20+ times to try and get a certain ship to appear and it hasn't.2. A few small bugs here and there. On a non permadeath run I was on my way to attack an island, got blown up on the way there and when I continued the game assumed I was attacking the island I spawned on (which I already owned.) End result being losing a lot of crew for nothing.3. The "end game" is a bit repetative and doesn't make me want to continue playing to unlock the final ships, perhaps if point 1 was resolved that would help.Overall though I enjoyed my time with it and would recommend, although maybe wait for a sale first.. If you heard about Sea of Thieves , Don't Sink is the baby in pixel graphics.+The graphics / art-style is amazing with detailed backgrounds on islands.+Random encounters that can get you money , new stories and bad things for your ship and crew.+Good quests with nice and funny dialog.+Music is relaxing.Now the game becomes like Sea of Thieves being boring.-Combat is boring and repetitive because the only thing you do is just attack , there is no reason for boarding the ship and fight with the captain because you just spam attack and sometimes you need to dodge when the enemy decides to fight back.Others options like repair and run you use them when you fight an enemy that is just to powerfull for you , but after you buy a good ship and have some crew you don't encounter something like this.-If in Sea of Thieves you do the same missions to unlock cosmetic items , here you do the same mission to earn money over and over again or you go to every island you own to collect your money which is the same as Delivery Job...-No customizable controls.The only problem that this game has is being boring with repetitive missions and no challenge in doing some of them. I got the game from Chrono.gg with 5k coins which was not worth it. If you don't like this type of games with repetitive missions I don't recommended to buy it. You can finish the quests in 2-3 hours so I don't know if 9,99€ is worth for a play time like this.. This is a gret game! Kudos to the developer. A game that i can spend hours playing, and not get bored. It was definitely worth the money.. 10/10 game, super relaxing and just a good game overall. I played this game for 3 houres and the first two were very enjoyable!But the more you progress in this game, the more island you conquer. Of course you want to become the king Pirate of all Islands :). But the game wont let you. I have the best ship with maxed crew and the Game makes me loose my islands faster than I can buy crew to reconquer them. VERY FRUSTRATING. I ALT + F4 after 1 hour of trying to beat the game.I do not recommend this game. Two hours of gameplay is not worth the 10€ I payed.I can 1 shot every ship without taking damage after 2 hours of playing, but I can not conquer every island. Game mechanics in Late Game are not at all enjoyable.. This game is DEFINITELY NOT worth 10 bucks, however, if it's cheaper than 2 - you're safe to buy yourself a casual experience. I spent three and a half hours on this game and I felt like the 0,99EU I paid was reasonable. Don't expect amazing replayability, it's one of those games that you just complete 100% and never play them again except maybe in a couple of years because of nostalgia or whatever.
